The probationary course will consist of a theory and practical element.
The practical element will cover shooting techniques, range safety, general gun maintenance, cleaning and rifle zeroing methods.
The theory element will discuss range safety, range design, types of guns and types of scopes.
This will be finished with a multiple choice test paper.
The full bore course will consist of range safety (full bore) and the practical handling of various types of full bore rifles.
Upon passing the course you will be issued with a card (MOD competency card) that says you have reached the standards reqired to shoot unsupervised on MOD ranges.
